Thanksgiving 2008 in Tennessee

dragoness_eI'm finally getting off my lazy butt and posting some photos I took of autumn in rural Tennessee, and friendly dogs out for a walk with us, taken during our Thanksgiving up there.
'Tis late autumn
..and the trees are almost bare, except for a crown of colored leaves. The geese are honking in the distance; a pity you can't hear them.
Autumn fruits are on the vine
Some wild briar berry.
Local predators are stalking the woods, fattening up for winter
Can you find the small predator in this picture?
The horses don't care
..that the trees are bare and it's getting colder.
The dog thinks the weather's fine, let's go for a walk!
This is Jake. Jake is a black Lab, and thinks that a brisk, windy day is fine for taking his human for a walk, and that ice-cold water is the best for swimming.
What do you know, it IS a nice day for a walk!
Friend or neighborhood jerk?
This is Buddy. He lives down the road, and sometimes gets along with Jake. When Jake was a half-grown pup, he used to bully Jake. Now that Jake is a full-grown dawg, he runs Buddy off when Buddy gets annoying, or cozies up to his humans too much.
Definitely friend
This dalmation is named Bella, and she is incredibly friendly. She thought she'd like to join us for a walk.

That was a long hard walk, let's both have a drink!
