Saturday we found the swans grazing in the park. They were quite happy to accept bread.

Note that they are pretty much adult size now. That's the adult on the right. It's a bright day, and I have the contrast turned up, so you can see the patterning on the adult's feather's, too.

Note that the kids are almost identical with the adult now, though the beaks are still a bit duller.

It was quite foggy at the park that morning, as you can see.
Sinister bird under the bridge

This sinister looking fellow was lurking in the dark under a bridge, which is why his eyes caught a bit of flash. He is a Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax).
