Feeding geese and other things at the park.
November 22 was a nice Sunday, and when we arrived at the park, the geese first noticed that Steve was carrying bread. Hungry geese are very sharp-eyed, it seems. (A later trip to the park, the black swans saw him coming with bread and started paddling down the canal straight for him, but that's another post).
You. Feed us. Now.

The Goose Ladies accept their due
Excuse me, why does she have a cracker when I do not?

A wild Canada Goose waddled up behind Steve while he was feeding the other geese, seagulls and ibises. She insisted on being fed as well.
Sneaking up on the wild bread crumbs...

I haz bread!

Hey! What about us?

You have bread. We are auditioning for a remake of "The Birds"

BREAAAADDDD!

Louisiana White Ibis -- will stab you, seagulls and other ibises with my beak for bread

We then went looking for the black swan with the baby cygnets, to see how they were this week. It took us quite a while to find them. Next post: what we found on the way to the swans.
