Winchester Gun Museum - Part 1: The Evolution of Firearms

The Winchester Repeating Rifle, aka "The Gun that Won the West" was what made the Winchester fortune. It was an improvement on the Henry Rifle.

The 73 was the first center-fire rifle and had a steel mechanism instead of brass.

This rifle was developed to handle larger cartridges with longer range.
