Just to let you know I'm working on the last few chapters (I hope!) of Deceiver's Legacy. I decided to apply the B.I.C method to my fanfiction, and whatdayaknow? It really works!
B.I.C - Butt In Chair (sometimes BIC-HOK: Butt In Chair, Hands On Keyboard)
Among (non-fanfic) writers, it's a well-known method for dealing with writer's block and other excuses for not writing. Basically, you sit down every single day and stare at a blank page and either write N words a day / X hours a day or go mad. It doesn't matter how good or bad it is, the goal is to write some EVERY SINGLE DAY. Revision comes later, once you have it written.
Also, the general consensus is if you can actually stare at a blank page for 2 hours a day, with no distractions, and not write something, you probably aren't cut out to be a writer.
Yay!
