Navajo Horsehair Pot
Feb. 16th, 2008 02:44 pmHere are some pictures of the horsehair pot I picked up in Gallup, New Mexico on the way to California and subsequently gave to one of my relatives as a Christmas present. Although horsehair pottery is a modern variation of an ancient technique, and not necessarily of Native American origin, it was developed in New Mexico and many of the artists who produce it are Navajo or Pueblo.
