I discover something new about my co-workers every day...

So I work at an unnamed big-name electronics retailer, in the warehouse. (Started out as a cashier after Katrina, but didn't like the wildly random hours. Warehouse is harder work, but at least I know when I'm working from week to week. And I'm getting more exercise, another personal goal. And, I don't have to ram extended warranties down customer's throats. I can add "receiving clerk" and "cashier" experience to my resume now).

I go by the break room to clock out for the day, and a bunch of the sales guys and cashiers are taking their breaks. Sharon is giving Richard a shoulder-rub, and he looks like he's enjoying it as only someone who is dead tired and sore can. Richard is sales, but he frequently doubles as a merchandiser. He's a rakishly handsome young man, with black hair, a black pencil-thin moustache, and a devil-may-care grin. He can do an evil smirk real well, too, and if I were throwing an amateur production of Pirates of the Caribbean, I'd grab him for the part of Captain Jack Sparrow.

"Wow, how do you rate your own personal masseuse?" I ask.

He grins, and holds up an iced drink. "Free drink, too."

"You're just that cool, huh?"

Richard grins, and the guy next to me (not Richard) says, "Like Decepticons."

*blink* "You're a Transformers fan, too? Armada, G1, or what?"

The other guy says "Armada", and then various people in the room break out with "Armada", "the original", "Did you see the movie teaser?", "Is there a longer trailer out yet?", "Beast Wars"--at that, everyone agrees that "Beast Wars" was the best. Sharon starts describing her favorite "Beast Wars" episode, various people are excited to find out from me that you can actually buy DVDs of their favorite TF shows, and I find out that Sharon really hopes to get "Beast Wars" on DVD for her birthday.

The people at work are just that cool.

LOL. That reminds me of my very first job at a Burger King. One of my coworkers was a complete fanboi, and he I used to used to geek it up talking about Transformers, Star Wars, and the lots.

At my current job, we don't talk Transformers; however, we all break out into choral renditions of Top 40 songs at random intervals.
