Yeeeees. Let me just say for the record that my parents did homeschooling the RIGHT way. The only public school around us graduated people who could not read; I'm not exaggerating that. It was a farming community, and generally, the kids dropped out as soon as they were legally allowed to go work on the farm. Thus, homeschooling for us.
We were never sheltered. My parents made sure we knew exactly what was out there; there was no weird culture shock when I and my brother went to college.
Over-sheltering is bad in aaaany situation. @_@ Then again, so is over-exposing. XD Hell, I guess we ought to just try for a happy medium. What a thought!
