A new Duskwing story, spawned by the evil plotbunny in my preceding post. Slightly AU with my own continuity.

The Only Good Robot is a Dead Robot

[G1] Slightly AU. Circuit Breaker gets captured by Cobra when they steal the Energy Project of the Week just ahead of Megatron, and her only chance of escape involves a long-dead Decepticon named Duskwing.

Once again, enjoy! Comments always welcome.

Found this by random lj-surfing and absolutely loved it. Normally I'd be skeptical of a human-Decepticon friendship plot, but this was really well written and dragged me right in! You even made me feel sympathy for Circuit Breaker, much to my surprise.

I think I might just go and find the rest of your related fics now... :)

A fanfic featuring Pretender Monsters AND Circuit-Breaker? Clearly this was something I had to read!

I quite liked it, especially the central idea of what Josie's going to do if she comes across quite heavy evidence that Transformers might actually have souls. (I especially like Decepticons snickering about someone who Slog decided to make art with... Ooer!) Not quite convinced that Josie's going to be so open to the idea of having been wrong about the Transformers though - after repeated encounters and bundles of evidence, she still refuses to believe there are even _two factions_ to the Transformers; confronted with the ghost of one, I can see her trying more heavily to deny what she witnessed and/or ignore it.
