So it is. The Northshore ships this akaline spring water around the country under various brandnames: Kentwood, Abita, etc. Slidell's water is quite nice; I haul jugs of it home from Mom's house to keep us supplied with drinking water, because the Metairie water tastes awful. Fine for bathing, but not for drinking or making tea.
I tested the water up here today with an Extended range pH kit. It's 8.2 pH--almost like salt water.
